Enfield #2 MK IV Training Rifle (22LR
Caliber Single Shot Training Rifle),
.22 Cal Rim-Fire Short Rifle Mk IV, and
Rifle No 2 Mk IV*
Adopted in 1921, a single shot
conversion from the SMLE Mk III Rifles. The rifle is
rebarreled from .303 to .22LR. The bolt is modified with an
offset striker. The follower and spring are removed from the
magazine and then the magazine serves as a collection box for
fired cartridge cases. There is no ejector.
