What is a postal match? More..... We’ve had so many people “complain” that there has not been a Mauser only match that, well, guess we’ll just have to oblige the Surplusrifle.com community! Before everyone starts to email us, how about the one basic ground rule that the rifle you use be a TRUE Mauser action. That is, even though the 1903 Springfield is based on a Mauser action, let’s keep this match pure and simple in Mausers. Non-sporterized= no replacement stocks, no caliber changes, no sporting barrel replacements etc. NOTE: If a rifle was “arsenal rebuilt/reconfigured”, it qualifies (example, FR-8, FR-7, 1916 Guardia, etc.) Again, there have been changes to the rules, so read them completely through before shooting and contact us if you have questions. Categories: Category 1. Rifles: Any non-sporterized
Mauser rifle Rifles: Any non-sporterized
Mauser rifle. Category 3. Rifles: Any non-sporterized
Mauser rifle Additional Rules: Junior rules: 16 years of age and under, may shoot Category 1 from a BENCH instead of standing. Category 2 and 3 rules stay the same for juniors. Please note on entry form whether a shooter is a junior. Juniors are eligible for door prizes, however, if not appropriate to the age level, their parent/guardian will have to accept the door prize. Depending on the number of juniors who participate, we may/may not establish a separate sub-category for them.
