PALADIN PRESS "COMPLETE M1 GARAND: A Guide for the Shooter and Collector"   by Jim Thompson

Publisher's Description -

"A heavily illustrated, practical history for shooters and collectors alike, this book tells the complete story of the robust M1 Garand. High-quality, detailed photos; functional and troubleshooting data, including original military manuals; market information and much more make this a valuable resource on a classic battle rifle."

Excellent Overview of the Garand with lots and lots of pictures. Covers everything from troubleshooting problems to disassembly and reassembly of the rifle. My primary appreciation of this book is the reloading data. Loading 30.06 cartridges for a bolt action rifle is one thing - loading for a fifty year old semi-auto is something all together different.  The data covers both 30.06 and .308 load information.

The following taken from a chapter title, "The Garand: Illustrated and Explained", would be an accurate description of this publication.

This book can be purchased for $25 @ the Paladin Press website.
