extractor spring.
7) Slowly release pressure on firing pin and allow

Note
On the bolt disassembly, the
firing pin safety stop pictured is unique to the Venezuelan
contract. Some Egyptian contract rifles were fitted with a bolt
machined to accept this style of firing pin safety stop but no stop
was actually fitted in Egyptian service. The majority of the Egyptian
rifles had bolts with no machining for a firing pin safety stop
at all. The remainder of the contracts used an firing pin safety
stop of a simpler design than the one pictured.
It is STRONGLY
recommended that the 1 piece firing pin be replaced by the 2 piece
design that FN phased in around 1951. The 1 piece pins are prone
to breakage and the broken front section will become lodged with
the tip protruding from the bolt face - thereby causing a slam-fire
or could possibly make the rifle go cyclic until the magazine is
empty.
8) Remove firing pin.
9) Remove firing pin spring.
