A 6.5x52mm Carcano,
a rimless, necked smokeless powder military cartridge.
Adopted in 1891 for the Mannlicher-Carcano rifle. The Carcano
6.5 is very similar to the 6.5 Mannlicher-Schoenauer in
dimension and performance.

The 7.35x51mm Carcano was adopted for use
by Italy in 1938 to replace the
6.5x52mm Carcano. After critical supply problems the
new cartridge was withdrawn from service and the Italians
reverted back to using the 6.5x52mm Carcano round again.
Ballistics -
Very similar to 300 Savage in performance and power.
