To adjust for elevation you slide the aperture
up or down (as shown in sight figure 1). The further up
the slide, longer the distance.
In case you intend to shoot at attacking
enemy aircraft, then extend the sight arms (as shown in sight
figure 2).
Safety
The '99 safety is fairly simple to operate.
It has two positions, Safe or Ready. As show in safety
figure 1 and 2, push in and turn clockwise to engage the safety.
To disengage the '99 safety, push in and
rotate the safety counter clockwise as shown in safety figures 3
and 4.
