1)
Make sure rifle is unloaded. Cock the rifle
and move the safety lever to center
position.
2)
Remove bolt using bolt release on side of
receiver.
3)
Rotate bolt sleeve counter clockwise until
you are able to remove it from the bolt
body.
4)
Rotate extractor so that it aligns with the
bolt handle.
5)
Push forward on extractor and it should pop
off.
6)
Place firing pin against wood block. Push
down on bolt sleeve and rotate the cocking
sleeve ¼ of a turn in either direction.
7)
Release tension on spring slowly and remove
the bolt sleeve, and main spring and firing
pin.
8)
Turn safe lever all the way to the right.
9)
Remove the safety lever.
10)
Figure 10 shows the disassembled bolt.

11)
Rotate
the extractor lug on the bolt body and align
with bolt handle.
12) Slide extractor over the lug on bolt
body.
13) It will slide over a notch in the bolt
face and then you can rotate it into the
channel near the bolt face.
14) Figure 14 shows the correctly installed
extractor.
15) Insert safety lever into bolt sleeve so
that the lever is to the right.
16) Slide main spring onto firing pin.
17) Rotate the safety lever to center
location and place bolt sleeve onto
spring/firing pin.
18) Compress the main spring by pushing down
on bolt sleeve and then place cocking sleeve
onto firing pin assembly. Use a bolt of wood
to protect your wife’s furniture. Rotate the
cocking sleeve ¼ turn so that the bottom is
aligned as shown.
19) Place firing pin/sleeve into rear of
bolt body and screw into the bolt until the
sleeve is flush and aligned with bolt
body/handle.
20) Using bolt release, slide bolt into
rifle.
21) Check operation of safety and bolt. With
safety lever in the extreme right position
(shown) the bolt AND the trigger are locked.
With lever in center location, the trigger
is safe, but action may be operated. In
extreme left position, the rifle is ready to
fire.
